Billionaire businessman and Chairman of Dole Food Company, Inc., David H. Murdock has just listed his 1927 American Colonial Revival mansion at 10778 Chalon Road in Bel Air.  This six bedroom, nine bath estate was designed by architect, Gordon B. Kaufmann.  The 90 year old Murdock originally purchased this property from the Getty's in 2001.  He has owned a number of palatial homes in Southern California since moving from Arizona, including 10644 Bellagio Road (which he acquired from hotelier, Conrad Hilton and later sold to the Chairman of Winnick & Company, Gary Winnick) and 10701 Bellagio Road (bought from the estate of Joseph Field's widow; the same Joseph Field's of the now defunct Marshall Field's Stores).
