Producer and director, Michael Bay (Transformers, Armageddon, Pain & Gain) has just listed his Bel Air Contemporary estate. This private four bedroom, six bath property has dazzling views and naturally, includes a home theater. 900 Stradella Road was designed by architect, Jack Lionel Wagner. Bay also owns the equally spectacular viewed 960 Bel Air Road which he purchased from the estate of Earle Jorgensen of Earle M. Jorgensen Company (one of the largest steel distribution companies in the US). Bay tore down the original 1951 home and built a brand new home on the over 4.9 acre of land.
Billionaire businessman and Chairman of Dole Food Company, Inc., David H. Murdock has just listed his 1927 American Colonial Revival mansion at 10778 Chalon Road in Bel Air. This six bedroom, nine bath estate was designed by architect, Gordon B. Kaufmann. The 90 year old Murdock originally purchased this property from the Getty's in 2001. He has owned a number of palatial homes in Southern California since moving from Arizona, including 10644 Bellagio Road (which he acquired from hotelier, Conrad Hilton and later sold to the Chairman of Winnick & Company, Gary Winnick) and 10701 Bellagio Road (bought from the estate of Joseph Field's widow; the same Joseph Field's of the now defunct Marshall Field's Stores).
